Business requirement
A city based insurance company uses Microsoft Access throughout the organisation to produce customer statements.
Using RouteOne
- The files containing the invoice & credit details within the RouteOne data dictionary are amended to define date fields
- A RouteOne definition is created to extract the details from the iSeries files
- The system date function is used for date comparisons of more than 60 days
- An FTP request is created specifying the Access Database format and a post processing path. The post processing path initiates the printing of customer statements from Access.
- The RouteOne Job is added to the IBM scheduler to run over night and is included as an icon on the desktop
