Welcome to the third edition of our i to the world newsletter. Published once a quarter, this newsletter aims to keep our own iSeries community up to date with the latest additions, events and updates for all things Utilities 400.
Infor Expand their System i Portfolio
We are delighted to announce that as a mark of their continued commitment to the system i community, Infor have strengthened their enterprise portfolio though the extended use of our solutions.

Keep in Touch Launch
This month we will be launching our new customer support solution, Keep in Touch. We take great pride in the quality of service we provide to our customers and believe that KIT will enhance this further.

KIT has been developed using ShowMe+ and provides our customers with the ability to report and track product issues. KIT also includes a search facility which will enable customers to ascertain whether a support issue has already been resolved.

In addition, a knowledge base containing information such as best practices, tricks and tips, user manuals and frequently asked questions will be built up over the coming months. Finally, KIT includes a user community forum which will provide our customers with a platform to post messages and discuss our Enterprise Suite of Solutions in detail.

Registration and log-in details will be sent to customers on maintenance via email during December.

Successful outings at the Power Shift and Work Smarter Events
In late September we held our first 'Work Smarter' seminar. Aimed at the IBM i professional, the event's focus was on how to get the most out of your enterprise solutions. During the event we provided 'best practice' scenarios using solutions from our Enterprise Suite. This included business intelligence, automated workflow, application modernisation through GUI and ecommerce.

The event took place in Glasgow and was hosted by one of our customers, BookSource, who are one of the UK's fastest growing distributors of books and other printed material.

The Work Smarter event will be heading to the south of England in early 2011. Keep an 'i' out for announcements as this event is a must for any business wishing to enhance their enterprise solutions.

During a blustery October day at the City of Manchester Stadium, we exhibited at the Power Shift event. Power Shift was a one-day open event for the i community and featured a number of independent and IBM speakers who delivered a comprehensive conference agenda. The event included an exhibition area where we met old and new customers to discuss our enterprise suite and all things System i.

'Power Shift was a terrific event and well attended too.' explained Steve Close, 'It was a wonderful opportunity to introduce the Enterprise Suite in its entirety to the i community. All seven solutions were well received and we look forward to further promotions and events during 2011.'

To celebrate the introduction of the Enterprise Suite, we held a prize draw for an award winning Net Book. Steve Clensy of Johnsons Apparelmaster was the proud winner pictured here on the right being presented with his prize by our very own Steve Close.
